Jason Schenzel is currently the Associate Dean of Technology at Mid-State Technical College.  Programs of responsibility include the IT Network Specialist and IT Software Developer.

Jason previously was the Technology Coordinator at Newman Catholic Schools for 7 and a half years. Jason was on the Administration Team and is responsible for researching and recommending new technologies for the district. He was also responsible for supporting and maintaining all of the computers and servers for the five schools in the district.

Jason Received has Master’s of Science Degree from University of Wisconsin Stout in 2012.  His major was Career and Technical Education with a teaching emphasis.  Jason also completed his Online/ E-Learning teaching certification from UW Stout while working on his Master’s.  This afforded him the opportunity to become an adjunct instructor at Northcentral Technical college where he taught web design and database concepts courses both in class and online.

Jason received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of Stevens Point. In his studies he had a dual major in Interpersonal Communication and Technology and New Media Arts. Jason is currently in a Master’s program at University of Wisconsin Stout. His focus will be Career and Technical Education with a teaching certificate in e-Learning and Online Education.

Jason has experience with corporate training in a previous facilities management position held at People State Bank where he was responsible for doing the security orientation for all new employees. In addition he was tasked with doing the annual security training for all employees at the bank. Earlier in his career at Peoples he was also asked to create a computer training class for senior citizens. Jason held several sessions of Jason’ Computer Bits to help get seniors more comfortable with their computers and familiarize them with the Internet and Internet banking.

Prior to his days in at Peoples he spent a tour in the United States Navy. This experience allowed him to travel to many foreign countries along with the ability to work with people from all different walks of life. In his travels he sailed the North Atlantic Ocean and made stops in Belgium and Denmark. After that he did a Mediterranean cruise and had ports of call in Spain, Italy, and Israeli.
